Kings Nympton is an idyllic village nestled in the stunning Devon countryside, yet only 10 minutes from Chulmleigh and South Molton. We see ourselves as the small school with the big ideas. Our staff team are dedicated to ensuring all children have access to a wealth of learning experiences and the very best curriculum. We are able to do this by working closely and sharing skills across our Federation (we are federated with Winkleigh Primary School).
By planning trips and residentials across the Federation, children from Kings Nympton Primary School get to meet other children from their year groups before their transition to their chosen secondary school.
The Year 6s had an amazing time over at Winkleigh today to watch The Railway Children, have a water fight and hot dogs after.
We mentioned to the children today and put in the newsletters that if England win on Sunday night they could wear red, white and blue. However in recognition of England reaching the Euro final, we have decided that whatever the outcome win or lose children can still wear red, white and blue. We also understand that many of our younger children may wish to stay up for the match so understand if they are in slightly later on Monday. Mrs Fenemore
Year Four are having a lovely time on their residential so far and are looking forward to the Saxon village this morning!
Transition day in Class One! We enjoyed learning about the Scarecrows Wedding. We made scarecrows and cakes for the wedding party.
Preschool, Class one and two trying some Japanese food. They had rice cakes, seaweed, noodles, sushi, mikado and jelly to try. They even tried bubble tea.
We learnt about the Japanese Star festival also known as Tanabata. It's a love story about what can happen if you don't do your work! The children wrote their wishes and hung them on the (indoor) tree and then decorated the tree with paper chains. The children also made flags.
